Second floor

The print studio

An etching press, a screen-print bay, a bookbinding station and a small drawing room. Sofia runs it, and she keeps it cleaner than most people keep their own.

Who can use it

Anyone who has been through an induction with Sofia. That is one session, ninety minutes, free, and it covers the press, the acid, the ventilation and where the first-aid kit is. After that you can book by the day.

What we supply

Press, blankets, tools, the acid bath and the ventilation. You bring plates, paper and ink, or buy them downstairs at the same price as everyone else — there is no studio surcharge.

Etiquette

Clean the press bed. Label your acid. Do not leave a plate in the bath and go for coffee. Sofia will say all of this once, kindly, and then once more, less kindly.

Book an induction

Wednesdays and Fridays, by arrangement. Bring nothing but shoes you do not mind ruining.
