Our Story
ArtCanvas was opened in 2014 by Marina Galanopoulou, a printmaker who trained at the Athens School of Fine Arts (ASKT) and at the Royal College of Art in London. The shop began as a single room of art supplies in a basement on Sarri Street, Psyrri, with one printing press at the back. It now occupies the entire 200m² building — supplies on the ground floor, the gallery and the studio on the first floor, the printing press on the second. Marina runs the shop with Antonis Maravelakis, a painter and former ASKT instructor who runs the gallery programme, and Sofia Vatista, a screen-printer who runs the print studio and the workshops.
